Mahanadi Coalfields Limited is a government enterprise. One of it's business objective is to formulate and recommend to the Coal India Limited and Central government, a national policy for conservation, development and advise the Govt and CIL on all policy matters relating to the coal industry.
These policies are framed keeping in view the applicable provisions of the constitution, status, rules and regulations etc. There is no arrangement for consultation with the public prior to formulation of policies.
